Youth Services

The DuPage Township Youth Service Department was established to support and provide Youth Services to its residents. The Youth Department is dedicated to offering educational and recreational programs that provide guidance, direction, and encourage healthy life shaping decisions. Our goal is to provide and expose the youth to programs that are fun, that offer prevention services, safety awareness and build self-esteem and self-confidence.

    Tee It Up Fore Kids
A program designed for youth ages 8 – 12 years old who have no previous golf experience. The program runs as a week long summer camp and is designed to teach the fundamentals of the game as well as rules and etiquette.

    STARS Middle School Convention
The convention takes place each winter and includes students from each Valley View School District Middle School as well as the two parochial schools within the township boundaries. The day-long event is focused on helping students make healthy life decisions and encourage their peers to do the same.

SNAG Golf for children 3-7 years old
SNAG is designed to introduce some of our youngest residents to the basics of golf during a one week summer program. Designed for those children 3 – 7 years old, modified equipment is used and activities are planned that meet the unique skill levels of this age group.

Community referral source for families in need
The township maintains a current list of local service providers who are able to meet a variety of youth and family needs.

Members of the Bolingbrook/Romeoville Coalition for Character Counts!
The township served as a founding member of the coalition and continues to participate fully. Character Counts! is a nationally recognized character education program stressing the six pillars of character: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring and Citizenship.

    DuPage Township Youth Task Force
A coalition of youth service providers united to provide quality services to the youth of the township.

    Tools for Schools
Through a partnership with the community, the township is able to provide school supplies for families in need. Each student receives the essential supplies such as paper, pencils and glue that will ensure he/she begins the school year with the tools he/she needs to be a successful student.
