General & Emergency Assistance Department
The Emergency Assistance/General Assistance department serves families in times of need. Limited assistance is available to those who qualify. Assistance may include: gas, electric, water and limited medical. In addition, the department serves as an extension of the Salvation Army and is able to provide limited emergency funds. DuPage Township also operates a food pantry at 719 Parkwood in Romeoville. Residents are able to obtain groceries from the pantry twice each month.
Emergency Assistance
Intended to help families through a crisis by providing financial assistance for necessary utilities. Qualified residents may only utilize this program once during a twelve-month period.
General Assistance
Is limited to those who do not qualify for other types of state or federally funded assistance. The program provides financial aid to meet basic needs.
Food Pantry
Assists families experiencing a food crisis.
Job referral assistance
Several times each year, the township hosts the Will County Workforce Development Board’s mobile job search program. Please call for dates.
Resource referral
The township maintains a list of current resources available to residents of the township as well as others living in Will County.
Who is Eligible for Assistance?
Individuals & families living in DuPage Township who meet the eligibility requirements can receive assistance.
